We just wrapped up our big GF4 Shootout over at Erwin's Pages Central. While we didn't encounter many surprises, even with the Omega drivers, there was one huge surprise.
With DronezMark, we encountered a HUGE INCREASE in performance with the Omega Drivers. See for yourself at http://users.pandora.be/erwinspages/...ouse08hard.htm Cheers, Erwin "Reaper" Husin Admin, Editor-in-chief Belgian. Passionate. All PC Gaming. http://www.erwinspages.tk |

That's probably because Omegadrive's nVidia drivers have v-sync disable by default in their openGL settings, which causes a huge DroneZ score increase.
Try disabling v-sync in the standard nVidia drivers and re-run the tests and you'll see the two sets of drivers fall a lot closer in line. (Don't feel bad, I got all excited when I first benched them too until I figured it out.)

Hm, I'll check that V-Sync setting ...but I'm pretty darn sure the settings are the same, since in DronezMark the graphics options are set in it's own ingame graphics options menu

If'n you set the v-sync to anything other than "always off" than yes the application can control the v-sync, but if it's set to "always off" it'll over-ride the programs control over v-sync.
I'm pretty sure about this, I remember playing with them one late night when my mind was all foggy but the weirdness in the scores discrepancies stood out to me. If'n I'm wrong please feel free to call me an idiot, I don't mind.
