Default Post Need HELP installing drivers!!

I have tried everything to install the 29.42 I have removed all the prev drivers and when I try to install the 29.42 I get this error "AN ERROR OCCURED WHILE LAUCHING SETUP (0X80040707) Then I tried pointing to the Unzipped Drivers them self and recieved this ERROR " THE PARAMETER IS INCORECT" I have been trying to get these drivers to work since Saturday. Any Help would be great.

SPECS
AMD XP 1900
512 DDR
K7S5A Motherboard
LeadTek A250 TD TI4200 64meg
WIN XP Pro

re-download them... it sounds like you have corrupt files. (Less'n your on a modem... in which case that might be a pain)... This has happened to me before... large file... gets corrupted etc...

Im going to give up for the night. I will try to get these working tommrow. If I cant I will put the 8500 back in untill I can figure out the prob.

sounds like the symptoms of using a download manager. but since you're on broadband, that doesn't make much sense. only other thing i can think of are the evil ati drivers

The funny thing is i can install the drivers that came with the card and they work just great! But they are dated 3-9-02 driver Ver 2.8.3.2 I was just wanting to install the 29.42 dets for performance gains. I guess i will have to wait till Leadtek updates their drivers .

YEP!! I have tried everything!! This weekend Im going to start taking out other devices and see if it is a conflict with my Satelite, Sounblaster, etc.

Have you tried any diff version of drivers like the 30.30 ?

No I heard the 30.30 were not as good as the 29.42 but I will try just to see if they work and see if there is a performance gain over the drivers shipped with the card.

hey guys i have gotten the 30.30 to work on my machine after a week of experiments I really dont know what was the promblem but Im not going to kick a gift horse in the face. thanks for your ideas and support,
