Default Post 4200 the same as the 4600 ???eh?..lol

Right let me start I'm getting a new geforce 4 4200 card in the next couple of days to to sit in my second machine my first has an ATI RADEON 8500 so I figured i'd have the best of both worlds.. Anyway's the model I'm getting is the gainward one on recommendation from a m8 and this baby is just begging to be clocked. In fact so much so she comes clocked out of the box
Not just that this little baby will actually with a little tweaking actually surpass the performance of Nvidia's equivalent 4600. Can you you believe that..hehe I mean better and in some cases actually considerably. I mean obviosly you can overclock the 4600 cards as well but the idea you can get bery comparable performance from a lesser card at a fraction of the price is great. I had similiar experiences with geforce 3's. lol I wonder how far the Gainward 4600 would go..hehe These cards are for gamers and those who like to clock as they come with great sinks and fan

faster than a ti4200? maybe in a few benches, but overall a stock ti4200 is faster than a stock 8500 retail. o/c both cards to their max and on avg, the ti4200 gains even more ground.

the 8500 is a great card, but in answer to this .... no its not faster.

the leadtek 4600 I got http://www.hothardware.com/reviews/i...cardandbox.htm

I have overclocked to 330 core and 750mhz ram, an overclockers delight ... and my friend has a 4200 which he has overclocked to almost baseline 4600 standards. a bargain for sure.

I didn't say I prefered the geforce card or why do you think the Radeon 8500 remains in my main system as it is a brill card, but as for speed a well clocked to 4200 will surpass the Radeon in most open GL tests though speed doesn't mean better

Last week I just replaced my 8500 with a leadtek A250 ti4200 TD when I ran the benchmarks my score for the ti4200 was almost the exact as my 8500. But my 8500 test were ran with it OC. so then I started to OC the Ti4200 and this thing cranks I mean it was meant for OC. this is by far the best OC card I have ever had. Then I ran the Benches again and It beat my 8500 b 900+ point in 3dmarkse and I have only begun on OC this baby!!
