Default Post Difference?

...hmmm, didn't actually notice any difference from 23.xx -> above... <GeForce2 GTS, ASUS>
btw. Do new releases of drivers actually make any difference on older cards i.e. chips?

probably not, maybe a bit of performance increase or maybe even decrease

Mostly new drivers are aimed at the latest cards, you wouldn't want ppl to find out that the new drivers make a GF2 faster than a GF3 so they make damn sure it dosn't happen. Otherwise ppl wouldn't keep making nVidia rich

Yeah, guess you're right, but I think that nVidia should think about making ppl loyal 2 them, not just squeezing money out of them

Well, there's no need for me upgrading to newest drivers, unless I get a new card, or something revolutionary happens in new releases for us poor ones with OOOOOOOOOLD cards (doubt it, though)...

The latest drivers support your card still and you could get performance increase by switching to newer drivers - its just depends on what games you play and what your system likes best - a matter of trial and error to see which driver works best for you...

Well, (without getting jinxed or somethin') I could say that every ver. of drivers I've tried worked fine for me, and the question remains: why's nVidia so selfish when it comes to adding advanced configuration abbilities, not needing to use 'any' tweaking SW, like RivaTuner, ASO...

because 90% of the ppl who buy nvidia video cards could seriously screw their system like that. then, they would either blame nvidia and not buy nv ever again, or hound tech support (which is probably even worse).

Guess I couldn't agree more, but still...
...meaning to say that 'original' nVidia Tweaking software would be by far the best one out there... dunno... kinda puts my mind to ease when using something original...

well, there's no doubt that 1st party software is usually the best, but nvidia won't do something that they won't get paid for.

Well, I'm up for some donations!

...just for them to get some feedback from rather demanding users who want complete functionality...

But hey, I still love nVidia!
