How far can you over clock your geforce 3 ti 500s?
Cause i read of ppl oced at 280/580 but i can only get 260/560. Thanks

I think it depends on the manufacturer/memory/etc. I had mine up there, I cant remember exactly what, but it was respectable. (It was an ASUS)

YEP it does depend on the cards ram.
I got my MSI GF3 Ti 500 vtg(8854 ) up to 280/585 (no artifacts). If you use a third party tester like the one found on Omegas latest set you can tweak and test but if you really push it you may not see artifacts but the card may overheat after long term use. So i suggest looping a benchmark or something before depending on it. A suggestion: Dont over clock it to its limits cause simply it isnt worth the risk of frying you card for those few FPS more. Go for a 10% raise not more to be safe. |
