Help 5600 graphic issues

Posted this on another thread under Graphic cards-
My friend got the same card I bought (Gainward Nvidia 5600 256mb NON-ULTRA) and everything seems fine until he tries to play any graphic rendering game. He says this "symptoms:
in every game or anything requiring advanced graphics rendering, the graphics are multi colored, and flickering"
I had him uninstall the drivers he installed and install the newest drivers from this site (not the Omegas). He is still having the issue. He is bringing the computer over tonight and we are going to work on it.
I have no problems with this card. I used it on my old machine and on my new one. Not sure what motherboard he has but I know he has a 1.5ghz cpu.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I dunno if you're still having these problems but I had something very similar myself.
I started with a Radeon 9000pro with the machine which was built to spec by a company on the Isle of Wight, I had exactly the same problems as you and runtime errors and the machine locking up, all during games. After sending the machine back about 5 or 6 times and them telling me that there was nothing wrong with it on return I went out and bought myself a Nvidia FX5600 256mb card............ same problems.
After over a year of getting totally frustrated I brought in a pc engineer who lives near me............ He fixed in in 10 minutes............ the bios had never been setup correctly.
Simple as that grrrrrr.

So that may well be the problem you have
