hi guys
im new to this site, and not really an expert, but not long ago i stumbled upon a site with modified drivers, but now im unable to find that site. however my question is as follows: is it possible to get alternative drivers, modify drivers, or in some other way forcing the card/monitor to display other resolutions than the ones listed in display properties? the reason im asking is that after getting the latest nvidia drivers for my asus geforce2 mx400 i seem to have a new option in the screen resolution settings, namely 1360x 768, which i never saw before. obviously this resolution is kinda unuseable, as it doesent follow the normal 1.333333 standard, so the ones im using is either 1280x960 (85hz) or 1600x1200(75 hz). But id like something inbetween, like 1360x1020, preferably at 85 hz. someone told me once that the resolutions depend on the graphics card and couldnt be changed, but since the new nvidia drivers, as well as the latest asus drivers allow this new resolution maybe its possible afterall ? can u give me some hints if this is possible, and so how? |
