Default Post Dell gf2go, 1400x1050

I own a dell inspiron 4100, 32mb gf2go graphics.
Has anyone else had problems with not being able to reach 1400x1050x85hz 32bit colour on an external monitor when the lcd is at the same settings?
My crt monitor when it is the only device active reaches 1400x1050x85 @32bit without difficulty.
I am currently using detonator21.83 (dell oem), as the newer detonators do not give the 1400x1050 native resolution, only a scaled 1280x1024.
twinview seems to work okay, but when both displays are active, the twinview panel tells me that I am working externally at 85hz, and the monitor is doing 75hz.
Any ideas? I will happily upgrade to more recent dets, if they support the 1400x1050 res.
I don't know if it is a hardware issue or software issue, have not got around to getting linux installed yet to test there.
thanks.

hmm...the problem is that geforce2go is not supported by the generic detonator drivers. I'm afraid its an issue you will have2 bring to the attention of dell support. Only their drivers will work properly with your geforce2go card.

If i were you i would check out the new dell drivers first. They released new ones only last week. Or try out the 23.11 drivers. The problem could be in the driver .inf file. If it is set up wrong then you will have problems! I am using the 21.88 drivers specifically modded by myself for my Dell Geforce2 Go, if you want to try them i will send them to you!

Well I can modify the .inf files myself I am just missing the correct details needed, so if you could post the relevant changes to the .inf files, so as I can change as necessary when new drivers are released.
I must also check out the dell website for newer dell-specific releases, but as of 2 days ago, there were only the 17.60 (or 17.40 - not too sure)
The drivers I am using at the moment are a non-released 21.83 dell specific driver set.
Thanks for the info.

1400x1050 is not a normal CRT resolution.
You can mod the latest drivers yourself, but, neither my GF2Go 8100 or my GF4Go 8200 will output to CRT at that res.
