60.xx or 61.xx farcry works choppy

Hello

I have tried the 60.xx or 61.xx Forceware drivers on my asus FX 5700/TD 256 mem,
and farcry and collin mcrae 4 are very choppy in the game play with this drivers.
With the 56.74 Forceware WHQL those games running smooth with mem / core overclocking @620/and @485
no problems at all.

But when i install the 60.xx or 61.xx forceware drivers, and clock my Card back to the stock settings
those both games running fluid.

OS windows XP pro.

Can anybody give me advice about this issue?.
Plz respond

Thanks in advance

Murdock

Hi there murdock,

Seeing you have a FX 5700 aswell, I was wondering If you were able to install Omega's 5303 drivers, cause I seem to have trouble with them.

Hi Eurotrash
The Omega drivers don't work well with the same games i mentioned above ,and Halo, are choppy or other games give an error when i start them ,(for example Splintercell Tomorrow)it seems it's a difficult card for Omega and nVidia to support this videocard wich drivers i install.
i have only single display, the latest Tvtool builds does not support dualview, only Tvtool 6.55 works fine,
but only in single display, i tried my analog and my digital input on my TVset.
the latest Tvtool set my refresh rate back to 65 HZ ,(even if i check the box keep my refreshrate), after rebooting my machine the only drivers who work fine and fluid ,
is the forceware 56.72 WHQL from nVidia (even in Halo)but no dualview,if i know this before i never purchaced this card, other cards higher then the FX 5700 do not have any problems with new forceware and Omega drivers,
and dual view.
I talked to my retailer about this issue but they don't take this card back, to exchance it for an other card, the only result was they don't sell the FX 5700 series anymore.
Soon i upgrade this FX5700 card for a better card,(if the monyboat comes, lol), i think of an 6800 Ultra)
Running my games on 1024*768 - 100Hz, they say if running games at 120 HZ they running smoother, but i didn't
tried that.

Machine specs: ASUS p4c800 deluxe mobo 800 FSB, HT prosessor 2,6Ghz @ 3.12Ghz Fsb and DDr Ram @960Mhz messuered in Sisoft Sandra Latest version.

I hope with this i answered your question.

Maybe via your experience with this card ,you can give me tips to solve some problems, wich i mentioned above?

Friendly Greetz

Well I do have a solution for the dualview problem,
I guess you connect your monitor via a VGA connector and not DVI, the SVHS and VGA are on one channel and only one can be used at a time, but the DVI is on a separate channel, you probably got a DVI to VGA Adaptor with your card. Use it to connect your monitor to the DVI on your card, now you should be able to have dualview.

I hope it works, it did for me, and I would like to hear your experience.

My problem with the Omega 53.03 is that I'm not able to install them correctly,
As this pic might show
The omega driver pretends to install but won't show up in properties tab, and windows keeps using its vga driver it normally uses in save mode(F8 at start up). I would like to know If they do show up in your properties tab, or if it's just my machine having this problem.

Happy viewing pleasure,

But I would still like to know if you were actually able to use the Omega 53.03 drivers, because I'm not, no matter what I try. And if you are, How did you get them to work ,even if the quality isn't that good , I would still like to know.
They just will not install correctly on my comp!

i uninstaled the nvidia driver in the system / hardware properties ,then i use DH drivercleaner3 in save mode to
remove the driver files,
restart the comp. and installed the omega drivers, restarted my comp, and the drivers where installed ,
without errors, but the quality sucks verry bad ,i cann't get it good too like you.
And most of the latest games run verry choppy, the best drivers for me are the 56.75 from nVidia , they run the latest games verry smooth and have a verry good quality
on 1024*786 * 100 or 120 Hz
Thats how i did it, hope it works for You.

Nope, tried it many times,

I think the problem might be left over 3rd party drivers, ASUS in my case , just can't get rid of them, when windows looks for driver it automatically suggests the ASUS one, and a manual install of Omega's 53.03 just won't work either.

I noticed that using ASUS 52.16 Driver and ASUS Smart Doctor 3.1 in Hyperdrive 3D mode , actually improved the playabillity in FarCry 1.1 a little bit, it loads allot faster thats for sure.

PS.
watch out with installing them ,havn't found a way yet to get rid of them completly, a roll back of windows might help, but it's to late for me.

If u have done what i write to you how to get rid of the drivers, DON'T let windows search for better driver.
but do it manualy in the controll panel/hardware, and go to the directory where u have the Omega drivers and load the omega .inf file, and windows install the omegadrivers

Yep have done many times, I always uninstall the old one , boot in safe mode , Driver Cleaner (or other) boot normal , install new driver, that's how i've always done it,
Except when Í've tried to install the Omega's 53.03, because after removing them (as they don't actually load but only pretend to be installed), I need to use an installer that is whql or else it won't work because somehow can't install any new driver manually untill an installer is used after which it works again manually to change drivers.
Story above is about what happens after I removed Omega 53.03.
Installing Omega 53.03 manually it always does and looks ok but after the reboot it says they are installed, but arre'nt, it's actually the VGASAVE that it uses. I now understand this problem is unique to me, because you all keep giving me the straight forward answer , have any of you even looked at my pic of the tabs HERE

As with the asus drivers they are not removed by the the driver cleaner, if someone can give me a hint where they might be stored, I could remove them manually.
Thank you for the possible solutions but they don't work, I'll probably have to wait another half year to try the new Omega 56.72 to see if those work for me .

All I have left to say is with all the graphics cards i've had from 3Dfxs , to Ati's to nVidia's , I've never had such a driver problem before. Something might have gone wrong the first time I tried to install the Omega 53.03 driver, and this problem might still be embedded somewhere deep whithin windows?

the 61.12 version seems to do the trick, with at the performance and quality settigs tab , v-sync turned on and AA turned to 2xQ , and if you want to play FarCry use the wolfenstein enemy territory profile.

if someone has better settings please tell us.
