OMEGA, AGP rate
Dearest Omega, I just installed your Nvidia Omega Drivers v1.5303, and I noticed a new TAB, the AGP settings.
The weird thing is that my geforce2 is 4X, as well as my MOBO. But I'm unable to change this setting from 2X. What is wrong? Here's a screenshot:

Do you have the latest AGP chipset drivers installed for your MB?
Try re-insatlling them. |

My chipset is the nvidia nforce. I'm sure I had installed the latest drivers for it. I'll try downloading them again and I'll let you know.
Thank you! PD: When I change the AGP from 2X to 4X, it says "the computer must be restarted", and wheter I choose ok, or later, the slide changes back to 2X. |

Omega:
I just installed the new nforce drivers, but I'm still unable to set the AGP rate at 4X in that new tab. Is there any way of checking what my actual AGP rate is? Using AIDA32, it says that the AGP rate is 4X.... what can I do? |

You should go to your motherboard manufacturer to get the lates chipset for your motherboard. Also see if your motherboard supports 4X the Graphic acceleration.

I already did that, and nothing changed.
But Using AIDA32, this is what I get (the one at the bottom says "current AGP rate", and notice it reads "4X"... WTF?):

Try putting a check in Sideband Addessing see if that helps.
I dont think it will help it has something to do with overclocking the AGP bus but give it a try. Last edited by madx; May 20, 2004 at 08:35 PM. |
