Desktop icons renamed by drivers??

Heya guys. I have to report a strange (and frankly annoying) bug with the latest ForceWare drivers.

This bug has effected my computer from the release of ForceWare v5x.xx. It has been reported by some people but I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced it (or found a workaround).

I have a GeForce 4 440SE MX (previously had a TNT2 M64, with the same problem). My desktop icons (My Computer, My Documents, Internet Explorer and My Network Places) are being renamed all the time back to the original names.

Let me explain: I have my desktop icons renamed to things like, Valhalla (My Computer, Docs (My Documents, Internet (Internet Explorer) and MSA Network (My Network Places). After I installed the ForceWare drivers, those icons get renamed back to the original.

After changing them again and again, they keep being renamed back. I've reinstalled numberous times and have tried all the software I install to see what exactally is causing the problem and have deduced it is the display drivers.

Anyone have any ideas?
