OpenGL triple buffering on a 6800 GT?

I just bought a BFG 6800 GT from Best Buy. I was trying to get triple buffering to work in OpenGL. I was running the official 61.76 drivers from nVidia's web site. I had tried using nvHardPage at first. It actually puts the OGL_EnableTripleBuffer setting in the registry and set it to 1, but I don't see it working when I run Quake 3 Arena. I run Q3A at 1280x960x32 @ 120Hz with 4xAA/16xAF. In certain sections of various maps (q3dm12 for instance), my framerate goes from 120 to 60 even with no one else on screen. If I turn off vsync when I see my fps hit 60, it goes to its "normal" value between 61 and 119. This is how I can tell that it is not working. It's even easier to see if I use 8xS antialiasing. It just pretty much stays at 60. When I turn off vsync, it is usually 60-90 with 8xS - not bad at all to be honest, but I digress. The same thing happens in UT in OpenGL. Has anyone gotten triple buffering to work in OpenGL on a 6800 card?

Before I forget, here are my specs:

athlon xp 3200+
Epox 8rda3+
120 GB HD
nV (bfg tech) 6800 gt
1 GB RAM
Windows XP Pro

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
