Omega nVidia Startup Flicker

Hello everyone I am new to the nVidia line of drivers from Omega. I have used the ATI ones in the past and love every minute!

So heres todays problem, I just got my new Dell laptop with a geFORCE FX GO 5200 card. So naturally DELL's drivers are pretty crappy! So I saught to find some newer and faster ones that worked for the laptops!

So after I install the latest drivers from Omega I am experiencing some crap that causes the screen to flicker twice. I think its checking to see what monitors are connected to the machine. I just wanted some good drivers for my laptop, not that interested in the dual display stuff.

I really want the flicker gone after reboots, its really anoinying!!

Can anyone please help me resolve this problem, or point me to a specific version of the drivers that work with the 5200 cards without flicker???

Thanks in advance!

The flickering is caused by the Registry setting 'Coolbits' which enables the Overclocking page.
If you can live without Overclocking then click here this will disable the Overclocking page and hence no more flicker.

If you want to enable Overclocking again (and have flicker) click here

Hope this helps,

Pieter.

I Agree, by Overclocking the Vid.Card it could flicker once ore twice, i have the same on my PC, Win is looking for overclocking, and if Win find an overclocked card it flickers to activate the overclock speed , i use the latest nvidia forceware, it's verry normal.
