Problem with doom 3 and Omega Drivers 56.72

My dark age of camelot game plays great but when I went into doom 3 to play I was getting Black lines across my screen. Thick bars about a couple inches width that flash on and off. It was almost like when you see someone videotape a computer monitor. I never had this problem with my old "official" geforce drivers and was wondering if there is any fix for this.
Thanks

are you overclocking? doom 3 could be making your video card a little hot and you are getting artifacts

Update your drivers, try not overclocking your card (in case you are ocing, of course)

turning VSYNC on fixed this problem. I dont understand why I need to though, im running 1024x768. My monitor can handle that resolutuion at 150 hz. I tried using refreshforce to change the regular 60hz to 100hz and it didnt help at all. Oc'ing my card was not the issue either i tried it underclocked and it worked perfectly with the regular nvidia drivesr.
