Default Post Detonator 40.52 (!) Win9X/ME & 2000/XP

http://www.warp2search.net/article.p...thread&order=0

Has anyone tried them yet? I really do want to install them, but when I saw the difference from D40.41 to 30.82 in both UT2003 and NOLF2, I really like the old 30.82.

Benchmark (3DMark2001SE) With 40.52

Read the notes, just to make sure I'm not cheating with the Aniso to x0, or anything.

I'm very interested in results from owners of GF3 (Classic). I'll settle for Ti owners evaluations though. Thanks.

how do you get capture to work with the 40.52's? asus capture drivers separate? or does the vid-in even work?

Default Post 40.52 Drivers Rock

Got a 9% Increase over 40.41 Drivers and they were Pretty Good.

40.52 Driver Feels much Cleaner and Slightly Tighter. Installed straight over 40.41.

ti4200 128MB Card, Clean Boot, No Over Clock, Side Banding Enabled, 4X

40.41 2001se Pro build 330 index = 6813 3D Marks

40.52 2001se Pro build 330 index = 7678 3D Marks

865 3D Mark Increase is Slammin in my Book for Just Code Changes.
As I recall I was Close to this when over clocking 10% or so.
Did not check score on Geforce3 ti200 I have.

I say go for them, they are probably getting close to as clean as they will get.
Menu will probably get a little more work, and the 3D Freq Override Page is Nice.

Keep on nVidian..... Laterz

Installed 40.52 last night. Tried few games and works well so far. I can't campare with 40.41 because I had Omega 1080 previously. Honestly, the Omega driver gave me better picture quality than this. However, I ran 3DMark 2001 and I got whopping 10350 and nothing overclocked. I used to get around 9700 with Omega. I still miss the better looking Omega's though.

here is my rig:

-AMD XP 1800 with Arkua 7228 HSF
-Abit NV7-133R(latest 84 BIOS)
-512 meg, 2 x 256 Xtreme DDR(single-sided)
-Leadtek Ti 4400 128MB Retail
-Maxtor 60gig ATA133
-Pioneer DVD 16x S106(slot loadong)
-Win XP pro
-nothing overclocked
-Antec 1030B case (with Antec TruPower 480W PSU)

Default Post 5195

5195 is good! If you are running 3dmark in 32bit mode (which is the default when it comes up). You have to manually change it to 16bit and you will see quite an improvement in your speed.....in the 7000 range!

Well, in most games i don't have any probs with these Det's, except in BF 1942.
Sometimes there are major slowdowns, annoying flashing (looks like the screens tears in half).
UT2K3 Demo is little slower but the IQ is alot higher then with the 40.41
Cause of the flashing en slowdowns in BF I returned to the 31.40.

Good thing is a new 40.xx version is out, so i hope that these are better and hopefully fixed the flashing and so on.

For i forget i got an Abit Siluro GF4 Ti4400.

Default Post Scrap the shoddy 40.52 leaked drivers and get the 40.71's from nVidia

I dumped the 40.52's for the new 40.71's that were released today and I am much happier!
Smoother running, more stable and very fast.
