40.71 Offical Beta Det

It's available @ nVidia & I'll post my impression of it after I've run it on some benches & games.

The EXACT same 3dm2k1se score for me as the 40.41 set, DroneZ is +1 for min FPS & +4 for average as compared to the 30.82 set. (I think that's about the same as the 40.41 set)

Anyone got NVRotate working in Win9x ?

Is a non-Win9x feature?
A non-Geforce 2MX feature?
Or hidden deeper than I'm looking.

I do NOT like the new panel layout one bit!

At first impression, these do very little for old generation cards - though speed was probaly maxed out for them several versions ago, I really wanted NvRotate!

40.41? You mean the same as the 40.52?

This 40.71 sux on my system. Slowest driver I ever used! The GQ is good, but fps for me is awful! 20-25% lower on everything I tried it on. I re-installed the 28.32, 30.82 Omega & the 40.52 just to make sure. Yep, 40.71 is sllloooowwww. Lost 100fps in GLExcess! 1/2'd my score there.

Back to the 40.52 where I can get 30fps(min) in my games & not 22fps (40.71) at the exact same settings. The 40.71 may be good for GF4 Ti's (I read it ~is) but for me > the worst nVidia driver I ever tried.

I think there is some software emulation going on & my lil CPU can't do it & that is killing my fps. The 40.52 looks just as good tho'.
