I have BFG GT OC and I keep it at 400/1000. The memory is rated 1000 so, i would not overclock it

Yeah it sounds like you've pushed your memory too far...just relax them a bit and you should be fine..

Reset your ram clocks to default, then run nature test from 3dmark with increases of 5mhz at a time, once you start to see glitching, sparklies or graphical abnormalities, back off to the last setting. You need a little patience when overclocking to find your maximum clocks. Make sure your case has decent air flow if you are on air cooling. Only overclock ram and test like this with the core at default mhz, so you can be sure any problems which will occur are caused only by ram overclocking.

You can also do this with the core, making sure the ram is at default when testing.
