System Specs

Default Post Well thumbs down on the 40.71s

well i installed these new drivers and everything was fine until i tried playing f12002 and ut2003 demo.still the issue in f12002 as the 40.41s hard crash to desktop when enabling antialiasing in the game?I let that go until i tried ut2003.it played fine and actually looked pretty nice but everytime i exited the game it crashed hard to desktop with that critical error blue screen ive been getting lately alot, which i have never gotten before.i still say these are the worsed drivers from nvidia that i have ever installed, the 40 series.i have never in 4 years had these kinds of problems with thier drivers before.
p.s when i install the 30.82s everything runs flawlessly

Sounds like my problems but i think the AMD CPU is doing it to me.

Too many issues with AMD and XP from what i read in forums.

Mine work fine but as soon as even try to up my graphics a little and run 3dmark it crashes to desktop.

Im also have alot of problems since i installed the USB2 that my Chaintech mobo came with.

Looks like im sticking to win2k ....XP has way too many problems and never forgive playing around.

I love them they have even fixed problems that I have had since I put my video card in ie... a couple of games were screwy. Did you uninstall all NVIDA drivers before you installed these?? I know that can muck some people up!!!

They are not very stable for me either. I experienced brief lockups while running 3DMark2001SE.

And what forums might those be ?....cuz AMD , Intel and Win XP are rock solid ! oh there are things in-between the AMD CPU & Win XP that cause problems but in most cases all are fixable

Our XP Tech site frequently Links to and Credits DriverHeaven.net for many things...maybe DriverHeaven will allow a link to our Techzone for your XP needs ??

Default Post Care

I suspect Fastgame was refrencing a comment that Greekage had stated, and I concure AMD and XP is rock solid - at least as if not more so than Intel. But Greekage as well as Fastgame and myself probably should have only comented about the driver and left AMD out of this issue for this forum. some people are upset if the object of the forum is diverted.

I agree...I'm sorry for off topic

The 40.71 drivers have no issues with my system & have eliminated the *darkness in games* issue I had with 40.41.

Default Post Stereo

One thing thow - The NVIDIA stereo drivers fail to work with either 40.41, 40.52, 40.71 or 40.72.

Will they ever work - I hope so - my kid's use the 3D glasses which require the stereo driver
