6800 GT and omega drivers = reboot looping

Hey all

i tried searching through previous post before posting this, but i was unable to find an answer.

I recently downlaoded the omega drivers and installed them as the directions indicated. Upon rebooting my machine, i seem to be stuck in an infinate loophole where my machine keeps rebooting. After booting up in safe mode and changing back to the offical 61.77 drivers, the machine boots up as it should.

Machine is running on a fresh install of windows xp home w/ SP2 and all updates.
CPU: 3.2c p4
mainboard: MSI 865PE
Ram : 1 gig pc4000 hyper x (heard there were conflicts with this memory and displays for some people..???)
Sound: SB audigy 2 ZS
DX: 9c
Monitor : Syncmaster 997DF

anything else?

Any help would be appreciated..

thanks

When Omega his drivers the 6800 series cards weren't yet and there's the fact that the 56.72s (which his drivers are based on) don't officially support the 6800 cards. Even if they did work I'd reccomend against his driver (for Nvidia users) as his are 56.72s whic hare very outdated. Go to guru3d.com and pick up the 66.32s. Bug fixes, better performance, etc. Welcome to DH
