Beta Forceware 66.70

ZombieNexus has released Forceware Drivers in the shape of 66.70 for Windows 2000/XP! Thanks to warp2Search for the heads up.

Guru3D has virus and adware check them and they seem to be valid. These drivers are not WHQL. As usual Guru3D has recompressed the archive towards a 6 MB. They are to be considered highly beta and therefore you use them at your own risk!

See Guru3D or ZombieNexus for download.

Hmmmm, I'm seeing the best performnace with the 65.73's so far, the 66.32's were pretty poor, I think I'll wait and see how these compare, I must say I prefered ATi's driver release schedule though, except that their releases seemed to me more bug fix related than performance enhancing

Well, from what I've been gathering, it's a gain in performance AND fixes from what I've read. I'm gonna give 'em a shot myself. I'll letcha know how it turns out.

*Edit: Recieved a 200 Point boost in the 3dMark03 Benchmark.*

Looks promising so far.

Hwy Wired, did you completely uninstall your previous drivers before installing these? or did you just update the current drivers?

Thumbs Up!

Completely Uninstalled the old,
Went to Safe mode,
Used DriverCleaner,
Rebooted,
and dropped in the new drivers..."the old fashioned way".

I've had NO problems with these drivers on ANY game. Been looking, and haven't seen a LICK of chop, no funky textures...nothing...even my framerates are a little better all around. If you'd like further specs on my machine/the drivers I'm currently using that might help you recreate these effects for yourself...you need but ask.

I can say this...after having had these drivers on for just a day...I won't be trading back down to any other set.
