Me, I'd say AVOID THE 66.51's....I had the 66.70's on my computer, runnin' nicely. Just because I'd heard things both ways about which one was better...I thought I'd go have me a look. BOY was that a bad idea.
I uninstalled the 66.70's and used DriverCleaner in Safe mode, just like I was supposed to. Rebooted, and installed the 66.51's. Rebooted to cement the change, and ran 3dMark03 and 3dMark05. BOTH scores were lower, by 100-200 points. I decided that the 66.51's just "weren't for me" and began the proper uninstall. That's when everything went to hell. For some reason, upon removal of the 66.51 drivers it played HELL with my USB devices. (Mouse, Keyboard and Nostromo n52) I couldn't even get the keyboard to FUNCTION to HIT F8 to get into safemode to complete the removal of the 66.51's. I had to put on the USB to PS2 adapter on the keyboard to get the keyboard to work so I could Tab my way around to the DriverCleaner so that I could try nukeing the rest of the install from the normal run of Windows. After which, I rebooted, and repeated the process in Safe Mode. Ultimately, killing the problem. The 66.70's are back on, running flawlessly as they were once before. However, I thought I'd let people know about the crappiness of those drivers. (perticularly with Running Windows 2000 and a 6800GT.)
