BSODs with Omega 53.03

Heyas,

since I've installed the 53.03 Omegas on my System I encounter sporadic bluescreens. The system is running well up to some point at any time be it either while playing games or even when the system is idling (=no program running).
Sometimes after reboot (without prior BSOD) the resolution changes back to 640x480 and I have to set it again. I've used Drivercleaner and reinstalled several times to no avail.
Before I installed the 53.03 I had the newest Omegas installed (1.5672) which behaved odd as well. When I had them installed the system worked fine up to some point where there Nvidia settings tab disappeared from the display properties page and I had to reinstall the drivers...then it'd work for a day and they'd disappear again. Seems like the Omega drivers don't like my GeForce2? I like them very much though because the 1400x1050 resolution is perfect on my 22" screen. Maybe I should replace the vidcard - could it be a hardware problem? Can you set the resolution to 1400x1050 with the newer Forceware drivers as well?

I had the 0x0000008E stop error several times without any info on drivers. Only once would it show nv4_mini.sys as source of the error, also with the 0x0000008E. After that stop error occurs the system boots with 640x480 resolution as well.

I never had any errors with this system before...it has been running flawless for over 2 years with the same components. I also updated the Nforce drivers recently too though. Thing is...the system runs stable under heavy load for 4 days without a break and then all of a sudden the BSOD comes up.

Here further specs:
WinXP Home with SP2
Asus GeForce2 Deluxe
Athlon XP1600 on Asus A7N8X Rev. 104 (NForce2)
1024 Kingston DDR
Enermax 460W Power Supply
