Lets Benchmark some of these damn Nvidia Drivers....

Enabling AA and AF through the control panle of the drivers seems to do squat, I've had to enable it in the game itself.....

Just ran through some Benchmarks with the Evolution drivers, I like em, so far I'll update with somemore in a bit maybe tommorrow but so far things look pretty good
Farcry Hardware OC River Custom Demo - 25Avg FPS at 1280x1024 medium AA and $ AF in game settings
UTmark - DX8 - 1600x1200 - 37.1 Avg FPS
1280x1024 - 38.8 Avg FPS
DX9 - 1600x1200 - 32.9 Avg FPS
1280x1024 - 39.08 Avg FPS
OGL 1600x1200 - 33.06 Avg FPS
1280x1024 - 33.07 Avg FPS
However there are some annomolies on the level which I'll post over in the evolution drivers thread where the skie dissapears and light sources just poof vanish, I saw it in the 61.82 driver set as well.
Danhill, do you notice any hitching in Farcry while playing?

Just ran an pretty detailed test using the 66.81 drivers on Umark, through a multitude of maps and resolutions, pretty damn fine driver release over all. All tests were run with multiple apps in the background and AA and AF disabled and highest detail settings in game, which with a game like UT2k4 I find har to tell the difference at 1600x1200.... anyways here are the scores...

Ran some benchmarks with the new 6693 drivers only some quick ones right now I got new RAM that I'm putting in and as soon as I do I'll get the rest up. Right now here's the Umark and 3DMark03 scores...
3DMark03 - 7932

The UMark test were run in DirectX8 with 4XAA and 8XAF enabled. I'll run some more tests with OGL and DX9 as well as Aquamark and 3D05 later today....

You know out of all the benchmarks I've run so far it appears as though the 6670's are just the best driver set out there, overall for what I do. They certainly have the best OGL performance I've seen, as far as UT goes, and they skip no more than the 6681's in Far Cry for me, If Omega or other driver modders are reading this thread, mod those! I'm running 3DMark05 now on my box, typing this from the server, but overall my favorites are the 6670's and the 6681's.

67.50's are out and I grabbed those off I believe Guru3d, and ran some tests, I like this driver set very good IQ and good performance... All tests run at 4XAA8XAF on my P4 at 3.1 with my 6800GT at 415/1150 clocks. All tests run 3 times and averaged with multiple applications running in the background....

3DMark03 - 8094
3DMark05 - 4745
Aquamark - 52502
Umark DX8

I just ran 3DMark03 with the new 67.20 drivers and got my highest score so far (My Gfx at 400/1100).
67.20`s - 12520
evolution 66.93`s - 12480
66.81`s - 12490

Ran the Evolution Drivers based one the 67.02's through some tests here and this is what I came up with.....
3d03 - 7918
3D05 - 4485
UMark - Below

All tests run at 4XAA and 8XAF with multiple apps running in the background, I like these drivers, if you haven't tried em give em a whirl they're quite nice....

BTW, although I haven't benchmarked it yet HL2 runs like butter for me, 1280x1024 4XAA and 8XAF with these drivers I average during the game around 70fps, I'll try to benchmark it later....

yeah 3DMark is low, but gameplay is nice and you can't play a benchmark, I include 3dmark because a lot of people like it, however anyone that has used Omega drivers can tell you that 3DMark doesn't give you near the whole story as the Omegas usually perform worse in 3DMark but better in games. Same with these Evolution drivers, perform excellent in games and pretty slow in 3DMark. plus they look really nice with no texture shimmering in HL2.

Technonerd I have an Nvidia card

anyways with these drivers running the anandtech canal demo at 1600x1200 with 4xAA and 4XAF on my p4 3.36 960fsb and my 6800GT clocked to 415/1150 I get average from 3 tests 60.64FPs with an average variability of 6fps. Also Azureus (javabased bittorent client) running in the background with multiple apps and 5.1 EAX enabled. Nice driver set.

67,02 Counter strike source Stress Test 1280 x 1024 4AA & 8AF 107,5 fps, ran the test 3 times. All setting was to max, water was to: Reflect all.

Half life 2 I haven't becnhed, but I'm running with fraps, I hovering about 60-80 fps with the above settings, never dropping below 40 fps, inside I have really high fps 170-250 fps sometimes though.

The negative lod is set to clamp.

Grabbed the 70.90 Betas and so far I like them I haven't played a LOT with them but benchmarks look nice,
67.02 Based Evolution Drivers
HArdware OC d13c17 Benchmark 1280x1024 - 46.4 fps 1600x1200 - 37.1
70.90 Betas 1280x1024 46.8fps 1600x1200 41.0fps
Guru3d Demo 4
67.02's 1280x1024 99.6fps 1600x1200 - 88fps
70.90's 1280x1024 101.3fps 1600x1200 - 89.2 fps

Not stellar improvements but the IQ is very nice, as good or better than any other sets I've used so far... the umark benchies

Hmmm dropped down to about 44 fps from about 100 fps with the 67.66 drivers in the stress test for Counter strike at 1600x1200 4AA & 8 AF??
