System Specs

did some benchmarks at stock speeds:

render ahead: 3 - 11131 3dmark03
render ahead: 5 - 11120 3dmark03

no programs running and rebooted between benchin'.
i'd say it could just be random variations.. 11 points are not much.

System Specs

it is said that for bf:v and painkiller use render ahead = 1.. but if the game works fine for ya, just keep it at 3.

also, too high a number will most likely result in mouse lag.

System Specs

2 should be optimal when running with VSync on, and 1 fine at other times. Storing frames in advance will take up some extra graphics memory, wich could be somewhat negative to performance if overdone.

Well there are two answers to this. If you plan on benching set it to 255 and apply (NOT ON UTK4 TIMEDEMOS OR SIMILAIR). On REAL game benchmarking so forth or on actual games I found the lower the better. I ran ONS_Dria time demos and it had 43FPS with 3 but a startling 50 at 0.

At least this is what I've found.....
