Default Post OverClocking, I need help

i just got my Geforce 4 mx 420 and i dont wanna overclock it because i dont wanna f*ck it up or anything so i need advice, i have detornator drivers, omega drivers and riva tuner but none of it installed because i dont wanna mess anything up so i need some help but like i said i do not want to over clock it but is it possible to alter the settings and make it look better / perform better without over clocking? please e-mail me The375Boy@comcast.net ASAP also i'm a fein for action/ driving / 3d shooter games ( extremly big on half-life [counter-strike]) any suggessted games?

Use omega drivers. They hav everything on max.

No, but if you get Omega drivers, in the display properties, you can software overclock the vid card. Or you can just use DET40 and use Riva to overclock dem boiz.

No, omega drivers do not overclock, they just put software settings on max.

ok i installed the drivers but they look like shit ( i installed them for quality) and my origional settings looked way better, did i install them wrong or do i have to config the settings for my card after i install the OMEGA drivers? they really looked horrible!!!

I personally prefer the 40s over omegas, and omegas over the original 29+... But that's just my opinion.

well thank you for your input but all that was not necessary! and who cares? maybe i couldnt find the mx 440 when my other card blew , so maybe thats the only card i could find and shit i only paid 17 bucks for it brand new!!! ( i think the guy stole it and just didnt wqant it so i was playin around and offered him 17 bucks and he said fine! so i was shocked but i paid him the money and thats how i got it!! so please excuse your self!!!!

omega's drivers set the LOD bias way up, and in rare cases makes the graphics look worse... all you need is the 40.72 or 41.03 drivers and rivatuner/coolbits.
