Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz, 512 DRAM.
NVidia GeForce4 MX 440. I have put the refresh rate at 85 Hz. Monitor is Samsung SyncMaster 757MB The thing is, it started a month ago or so, i don`t remember exactly when i began to notice that something`s wrong, but now it became even worse. i have downloaded the new NVidia driver but it did not help.

i think what may have happened is that your MoBo shorted out inside the AGP bus, taking out the video card. My gf's brother had a similar issue w/the display and that's what happened. take out your card, and carefully examine the card (the gold contacts that go inside the bus), and check for any burn or damaged marks on the card. if that is the case, get another board and graphics card cuz both are dead.
