i am more interested in game performance than synthetic tests, so whats the verdict ?

Agreed, I'm still waiting on said verdict. I've GOT 'em...but after the 66.81's screwing up my system, I'm hesitant to bother with putting on the 70.41's until I hear something about 'em.

From everything I've read, I'd say they're not worth trying until they get a little further along with the development.

I guess I'm the first to test nd reply so. I noticed a huge performance increase with these. In CS:CZ I got 90~120 fps, and CS:S @ 50fps up from 38fps. As for other games I only play WC3:FT(idk seems hella lot smoother though ;p), and some U2k4 60fps up from 49 those went up a little also. But I also should mention that when I installed these I went to this site http://www.newgenerationorder.org/files.html . and applied all these dl'able tweaks before I rebooted. Btw my system is a p2.4, 512mb or ddr ram, and geforce fx 5200 (256mb version). Definatly welcoming these drivers peace ;p.

Ok the 70.41's perform pretty well actually, and the IQ looks very nice indeed but it defaults pretty dark like the 66.72's do.

3D05 - 3928
3D03 - 7909
Aquamark - 50568
UMark
DX8 - 1600x1200 - 34.4
1280x1024 - 3804
DX9 - 1600x1200 - 34.5
1280x1024 - 38.5
OGL - 1600x1200 - 32.7
1280x1024 - 32.7

Not a bad driver set overall and if still in Alpha stages as I'm hearing they hold some promise. As of right now for IQ and performance I give the 66.72 set the gold star. Stable, pretty and fast. Those are my drivers of choice so far..... Also in the benchmark thread....

Opengl Statistics on 5900XT

OpenGl updated to 1.5.3

only has 91% 1.4 implementation with 11/12 paths working

opengl2.0 has 71% implementation with 5/7 paths working

opengl has been updated with 2 new paths in this new set as it only had 5 with previous sets

Warcraft3 Frozen Throne seems to be pausing for a few seconds randomly but infrequently, probably just need to relax overclocking with these drivers maybe

70.41 allows me to o/c to 950 again as did Detonator 50 sets did

all forceware put me at 920 as my max

whereas 70.41 allow me to 980 before saying i've hit my max in coolbits oc section
