Nibitor 1.8

http://www.mvktech.net/index.php?opt...&filecatid=502

This version has a help button, since version 1.7 was a bit esoteric.

What video card are you running? I had great success with my Vmod, now being able to actually run at 6800U default memory speeds ^_^

a vmod to 1.4v should be ok. you might need to upgrade your cooling, since it works fine for a while then craps out. Look into an Arctic Silencer NV5.

So I have exact mode and VID mode, I want to change voltage 2, which is currently 1.3V to 1.4V right? Voltage 1 is listed in VID mode as 1.4, 2 is 1.3 and 3 is 1.1, Exact mode only lists 3d mode as 1.4 on Nvidia 6800GT Rev 2.0.

all you need to do is change the exact mode 3d voltage from 1.3 to 1.4v. you don't need to mess with vid mode.

What is exact mode?
------------------------------------

Exact mode allows you to change the card voltages by changing the
voltage identifiers in the performance table.
Its advantage is that the voltages set are shown correctly in monitoring tools
and when reediting the BIOS. Its not necassary to edit voltages with VID
mode also when using Exact mode.

I want to give my card higher voltage, what do i need to do?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Select a higher voltage for your card in the 3D Mode selection.
Hit 'extend voltage table' to get a bigger selection of voltages.

When does what crap out!? Are you telling me after so long my cooling will magically not be enough and my core will plumet into a Vcore hell of no return?

Umm, reality check? I've been running my PC non-stop with my Vmod and it still loves me. I haven't had one problem with it....

Anyway Poopy, the one that is at 1.3 as of this time should be modded to 1.4 like the 3d one. What happens is when Coolbits screams "We don't want you to go this far" your card throttles...this is the voltage used when throttling. Now if you give it juice it can't, and won't, throttle. This allows higher overclocks with better stability.

he said that it would run for a while then suddenly lock up. sounds like a heat issue there.
