Default Post Ti4600 Help!

Holy cow,

MSI G4Ti4600 128MB DDR Videocard

I just bought this VD card and am freakin' out on the difference (I had a GeForce2 MX/MX400 64Meg)

I'm a gamer and love to put max quality!
I'm playing Mafia right now so I was wondering if someone with the same card can help me get started on the right track.

Is it ok that:
I installed the 30.82 drivers?
Should I be using different drivers?
I maxed out all possible quality...so I'm at 1600x1200, Fullscene antialising OFF (with this ON, boy does it lag), 32Bit depth, refresh rate at 72HZ. Am I asking too much off this VDcard???

It seems to hesitate a little when I play as Tom especially when shooting the guns! In other words it seems that the mouse doesn't follow my moves exactly...there's alittle hesitation...Is this normal?

My system is:
P4 1.7GHZ
512 Ram
Windows XP
MSI G4Ti4600 128MN DDR Videocard
I don't know if you need more info...can anyone please point me in the right direction??

Thanks for listening and I apoligize for bothering you fine folks with what might be some very general information for you.
Thanks in advance for any replies and help.

Regards,

Default Post its not a bother at all !

When I had my leadtek 4600 (at 325 core and 750mhz ram) with Mafia I had the last 40.41 dets on the system, and ran the game very well at 1280x1024, with all settings in the game at full. NO AA etc .

With my XP2200 cpu and the 4600 at 1600x1200 I experienced a little lagging at times, and I think you might be pushing the card a little hard ....... but you should find good performance gains with the new dets. so give them a try first.

nice setup you have btw, and its a great game isnt it?

Default Post Oh my god...

Zardon,

I'm soo honored you took the time to answer me...thank you soo much...really.
It is much appreciated.

I now installed 40.72 and it did make a difference! There's less lag!
I'm still at 1600x1200 and everything else at full and it's performing alot better!

Thank you soo much again for taking the time with me!
Yes I do love the game...but it's alittle hard at times!

I also just installed SB Audigy...Boy did this game change all of a sudden!
Also my EAC ripped mp3's (37.2Gigs worth) sound sooooooooooooooooooooooooo good.

It was worth every penny
