Alright, I've been wondering this awhile. I know of many drivers available for my recently purchased Leadtek GeForce FX 5900XT. The nVidia official drivers, the drivers that came with the card, Guru3D drivers, Omega Drivers, and Starstorm or something. I just want to know this:
What are the best drivers for gaming for this card, that are official, not prone to errors/bugs, and have advanced features like overclockability. All I hear about my card is that it's easily overclockable, so I just want to bump it up a few mhz but I want good reliable drivers behind it. What should I get? Omega? Guru3D? Official? Thanks for any help !

There are so many betas out there, that I don't think the modders can keep up. You should stick to the 66.93 officials or one of the better betas like the 66.81 or 66.70.
to get overclocking, all you need to use is coolbits or rivatuner. no need to have it built into the drivers. http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=815 http://www.guru3d.com/rivatuner/ |

I have the Chaintech version of the 5900xt card and the driver that gives me the best performance is the Omega drivers 56.72, and easy OC!!.
But I would tryout a few Drivers first and see which performs best on your PC

It is a good bet to go with the latest official drivers on Nvidia's website. When I had an Nvidia card I did that or used the latest Omega's and never had any problems.

Yah I thought about that and tried again but the same thing happened.... So i read a review on my card and it says he got the Clock speeds perfectly stable but it produces negitave effects. Says that Asus might have already put it at the Optimal speed or something... Its wierd... Soooo.. No OCing for me

It's in the forum rules, I always forget where exactly they are though. I don't blame you for not knowing, I can't find the rules thread anywhere- I thought it was a sticky in the off topic, but I didn't see it there. There is no "forum rules" link on the front page either (at least not that I can see).. Maybe I will put a request for a big "FORUM RULES" link on the front page somewhere if I have time.
