Although it's good that people like yourself spend the time to provide an alternative to official drivers at no gain to you, some things need to be explained more clearly.

I was under the impression that 'HDR' is currently only available with nVidia 6xxx cards.
Unless I'm mistaken, the screenshot you have claiming HDR effects in Painkiller with an FX5700 is actually only Light Blooming and not HDR.
As anything below the 6xxx cards is incapable of HDR rendering, no matter how much the driver is tweaked.

False returned it possible hdr with all the cards of the walked and especially more better used on the cards ati, the alone problem this is than the hdr asks a lot of powers brute, the hdr uses pixel in comma flotante, this is comma flotante to the capacity of generate quantities of light going of 1 to 1MILLION and again... this that asks a lot of Phenomenon hdr is used this is all this that turns in the scene, every picture of the scene one a different intensity this that to goal to do a more realistic effect to picture... hdr have only a combination of several pictures the same scene under various different intensity...
the hdr of the 6800 different east it compresses the data, this for that that this one this comfortable direction, but the cards ati have a similar procedure but a games as farcry does not use it because of the partner nvidia. ... a little as doom 3 that haould been able optimized the functions arb2 motor so that it turns better on ati, have not nothing to do in the motor is said while passing
something else being given that the hdr is usable on all cg being able used sources of lights, then in these conditions the fx can also posted hdr... but no to compress, on the other hand if it well used and in certain condition, it does not influence on the performances of the card
