6800 GTO and blurred screen

Hello!

When Windows starts the GUI, I have a blurred screen (graphical corruption). I just have to change for exemple the color depth or the resolution and come back to my original parameters and everything is resolved... But everytime I reboot or turn on my computer have to do this :-(

I think it's a driver problem. Seems Windows doesn't use the right parameters when launching(?) Naturally I installed the last version of nvidia drivers, but same problem.

Thank's in advance for any advice!

Strange..the only thing I can recommend is re-installing your AGP driver, and monitor driver.

Maybe you should write a script to do this automatically? As for a real fix, I really don't know...

I used Driver Cleaner and re-installed the drivers "cleanly". It seems it works fine now... hope it's ok, have to test it some time before to be really sure...

Have the same problem again, but now it appears after I've played a game and coming back to the desktop... so there is definitively some problem with the drivers when there are changes of resolution (during the "passage" between two different resolutions) Hope this is only related to the 66.93. I'v already this shi... problem with the horizontal lines when viewing a movie in fullscreen (known prob it seems)

I had previously a radeon 9700pro... begin to regret the ati drivers (less bugs

do you have an LCD monitor? my friend does and whenever he installs a new driver it defaults to a non native resolution so it gets all blurry.

Yes I have, a Samsung SyncMaster 193p (19'').
The problem doesn't appear always, rather rarely these last days in fact...

I can only imagine some driver problem. Seems like some "calibration tuning" problems, as if there was some ... I don't know... minor parameters not ok between graphic card and monitor. But not as far as complete different resolution put in error.

Anyway, my monitor is ok, these probs came only with the new 6800 card...
