??? Battlefield 1942/Vietnam Probs

Hope someone can help out...been having weird problems. After reformatting my computer, I downloaded the 66.93 nvidia drivers (I was using an older verions previous to reformat which worked fine) and have big problems. Now when I try to open up battlefield 1942 or battlefield vietnam it is VERY slow and choppy. Its so slow I would have to wait about 10 minutes before the EA symbol disapears and the main menu appears. Weird thing is that I can play half-life 2 fine with these drivers. So now I go and install the original MSI drivers that came with the card and BF works fine now but half-life doesen't run well. With 66.93 drivers, if I right click on desktop then go to properites-->settings--->advanced--->GeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8x TAB, under adapter information it says Bus: PCI x0. I think this should say AGP 8x? I've also tried the 61.77 drivers and have exactly the same results as the 66.93. Any help would be appreciated.
My specs are:
WinXP SP1
Epox 8RDA3I Board
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
512 MB PC2700 DDR
MSI GeForce4 Ti 4200
Sound Blaster Live 5.1
