did you install the performance vers of drivers?
personally i would stay with default. omega usually gets the best performance/iq ratio. laptops give you very little if any oc room so be careful there.

yeah, i installed the performance version
i'm not looking to overclock (i think my processor can take the extra heat but i think my motherboard would fry) but i was wondering if i need to change any settings such as antitropspic and anti-aliasing and stuff (i just looked over the settings really quickly and i'm not very sure about this stuff, it curretly has decided by application and i think i'm just going to turn it off for application) |

i leave it on application, & set whatever is appropriate within the game. tends to cut down on potentila problems that way. & it is not like you need aa & af for desktop, browsing the internet, etc.
go ahead & experiment though, it is how you find things out. just make sure you stick to omegas guidlines

Problem...
I've got a toshiba laptop with a Geforce 420 GO and when I put the latest Omega drivers on, my resolution changed so that the right side of my screen is cut off...I'm looking for my good ole 1024 X 768 resolution but they're only letting me do a 969 X 768 resolution (Doesn't fill my screen...) Any idea how to fill up my screen again, or change to a better resolution that will actually fit my damn monitor? Thanks for any help u can give...

have you unlocked the 'hide modes...' under the monitor tab in the display properties?

Yeah, but then I go to my old resolution, 1024 X 768, and it changes my resolution, but the far right side is still cut off - you can simply move ur mouse to the edge and pan the now larger image around in the smaller square...It isn't just taking that larger image and centering it into my monitor...
(i have a laptop by the way) Any other ideas? |
