What's deal with nvidia DVD-decoder on website?

Does it somehow provide better image quality? I've just used Nero Showtime for watching dvds, cus its what I had when I got my dvdrw. Well I was going to watch Collateral tonight anyway so I'll see if it does anything cool

Okay when the software nvidia decoder is used a system tray icon appears. From this you can configure a plethora of options. You can adjust a lot of stuff. I'm not precisely sure if there was a noticable positive difference in image quality, but the sound quality was excellent when configured for headphones, but im going to mess around some more and try some different video players. I was rather focused on the movie itself however, so wasn't overly focused on quality at the time.
