How do I tweak my settings with the omega drivers?
I was scoring pretty low frames on half-life 2 (like, 20 fps at the big barn in the canals where g-man is) on my geforce 6800 regular, so I got the omega drivers, and it's around 30. but I also want to make it faster, I installed preformance, but it's no diffrent in speed over quality, and people tell me I Can unlock pipelines and other tweaks with these drivers. how do I do that?

don't use the omegas. they are based on the old 61.77s. Try something like the 66.93 officials or 71.20 betas.
you can unlock pipes with rivatuner: http://www.guru3d.com/rivatuner/ http://www.hwspirit.com/reviews.php?read=17 |

do 71.20 drivers suffer from hl2 water looking like pee? and right now I am using 69.70, i belive they are called.
and I tried unlocking the pipelines, but I checked a box that was required, and it said it could permently damage my hardware, so I was afraid and stopped. |

not sure about the 71.20, but 71.24 for sure.
any tweaking to pipelines, OCing, etc has risks. if you're not will to accept the consequences, don't do it. |
