Hey Guys...
Not sure if this is the right spot to post this, but I have a eVGA 6800GT PCI Express GPU in my rig right now. I have just installed some games, and I am getting some stop errors (IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) in a couple of games: NBA Live 2005 - 0x0000000A (0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8051EC1C) Tom Clancy Raven Shield - 0x0000000A (0x9D086240, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8050DF62) Now, I am also getting major problems with Splinter Cell, but have not been able to write down the specific stop error. From my experience in the past, these seem to be driver related, but I am using the latest drivers from Nvidia's website (66.93). Any thoughts, guys? If this was posted in the wrong forum, mods, please move accordingly. Thanks!

Update - I confirmed that my sound card (Audigy 2ZS) was sharing the same IRQ Port with my GPU (18). Since I was not able to change IRQs in Device Manager (options were grayed out), I moved the Sound Card to a different PCI Slot on the mobo. Rebooted - got the same STOP Message upon exiting Raven Shield. Decided to go with a different driver set (67.03) - uninstalled the GPU in Device Manager, loaded into Safe Mode, ran Driver Cleaner, rebooted, loaded new drivers, ran Raven Shield, and got a Raven Shield Critical Error upon existing Raven Shield (not a BSOD w/STOP Message). Perturbed, but hopefull as this appeared to me as a step in the right direction. Decided to go with the latest WHQL approved drivers (71.25), followed the same procedure above, and started Raven Shield. Upon exiting the application, no BSOD, Critical Errors, or STOP Messages. All clean.
AFter all that, I am relieved in one sense that I was able to get rid of the one specific problem, but questions still remain - How come I still got a STOP Error when I switched the Sound Card to ensure it was not sharing IRQs with the GPU? How come original Driver Set 66.93 (latest official drivers from Nvidia which are WHQL certified) did not work to begin with? How come all testing apps (Super PI, Memtest, Prime95) all pass with flying colors showing that my system memory (set to auto/default in BIOS) has no problems with it to confirm that was not the problem? Maybe I should be happy, but I pride myself on wanting to know what went wrong, and how to prevent it in the future. Anywho, just thought I would share and see if you guys had any comment on this episode of mine. Thanks for the time.

any whql certified driver shouldn't cause any trouble.
this irq_not_less_or_equal thingy is a windows error which occours if your computer messes data around in any way. it may be: -overclocked system (a notch behind its possibilities) -not correct installed mainboard drivers (this is what i think is/was your problem) -messed up dx -messed up grafix drivers in many cases it is not really clear what it is and you get annoyed of it and reformat and install the whole sys new. but that is THE LAST measurement. first check your mainboard drivers - get em off with driver cleaner and install them new. hopefully this was it *crossingfingers*
