Default Post Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 an nvidia

I own a P4 1.8 512 RAM and a GF3 TI200
Running 41.03 drivers.
It runs jerky as hell at low resolution and low settings.
No FSAA or Aniso nothing.
It has to be a driver issue because every other game runs smooth and ppl with 800mhz and GF2 run it smooth at high settings.
Any ideas????

Be sure to turn off EAX audio, as it can cause the jerkyness you describe. Game runs fine on my 1.4ghz, 512mb, Geforce3 Ti200 system.

Hehe already tried every setting ingame including disabling EAX. It has to be the driver.

EEK! Old machine.

I got this game the other week and I'm running it on my first machine, a Pentium 3, 450Mhz, 320MB RAM, TNT2 running and it runs fine at 800x600 WITH EAX ENABLED!!

Hmm... figures.

Oh yeah. Forgot to add.

I'm running the v40.72 WHQL Certified drivers. If that helps?

First of all this topic belongs in the "gaming" forum.

But since im here:

try this...go and get a nocd crack and you will see that after copying the requested by the readme files to your hard drive the game is gonna run like a dream.

Other things that my cause problems are:
1) HDD needs defragging (do this before you install the nocd)
2)multimedia settings are at full hardware acceleration(set them a notch down)

I had similar problems until i used the nocd.

Yet another stupid mistake on EAs part is that they didnt have a FULL-INSTALL option so about 500 megs are still on the CD.

Read this topic and you will find the crack:
