give the DHzer0point drivers a try, of course I'm biased or the ExtremeG drivers, I would recommend the DHzer0point drivers as we spent a lot of time optimizing for source engine games and have included with the drivers an autoexec that will hopefully help clear up some performance and quality issues, however after uninstallin any driver be sure to run Drivercleaner Pro, it'll get any nasty leftover files or registry entries and whatnot....

rofl thanks for your help guys

thanks for the help guys but 2 things. firstly it was the amount of voltage going into the card i zaped it with another 0.2volts and boom! it works fine but now i want to know what are the best drivers for hl2 and source cause i realy want better fps >< fx5200 and also is it worth buying a 6600GT i relay wanted one but with 128mb onbourd ram thats kinda like outdated now and i heard its still only 128bit is it better saving up for a 6800gt or even a 7200 :P(non-existant card :P hopefully will exist in future)

I would save for a 6800 because you get the ultra shadow2

6800 is nice, however a 6600GT is a nicely performing card as well, it depends on your personal wants, 6800GT will O/C to ultra speeds most of the time without a sweat and well it's got huge kahones, of course the x800's are nice as well and currently an x800pro is cheaper, I'd say grab an x800pro before a 6600GT, and if you can a 6800GT over either if you're looking to upgrade...

yea...6600GT is nice, but I'd save a little more and get somethign that'll last longer(x800pro or 6800GT)

In that case try the Zeropoint drivers. They work nicely for the 5200 cards.
