Default Post I can't remember..

...if I tried the 40.72 set for 9x/me or not, but I'm liking them a lot! (I still prefer the 41.03 set on the XP side of things. )

Well my first look wasnt one that made me happy

I did a full uninstall/install and so far ive found them to be lacking performance.

I ran a couple of 3dmarks and noticed a big drop in FPS (mostly in the nature test).

Overall i lost about 300 points compared to the 41.03 set with the same settings.

I cant confirm this so anyone else that has tried them please post A.S.A.P so that our
friends here dont go through the trouble of installing this set for nothing.

Im really getting sick of the 4x.xx series VERY UNPREDICTABLE

The Win9x/Me version is **BROKEN**

The NVIDS.CFG file refers to NV4_DISP.INF and NV4DISP2.INF
When the files in this release are called NVAML.INF and NVAML2.INF

Correcting this allowed me to install - is this replicated in the 2000/XP version?

My performance and IQ were so close to 41.03s that I think I'll stay with these for the time being. Best WHQLs for me so far. 3D marks in sig. Nothing OCed.

Well, I have the exact opposite problems...I ran the 41.03 vs the 40.71 and when I changed to the 41.03 I lost 350 points...that was enough on several runs, defragged and rebooted several times.....
