The Win9x/Me version is **BROKEN**
The NVIDS.CFG file refers to NV4_DISP.INF and NV4DISP2.INF When the files in this release are called NVAML.INF and NVAML2.INF Correcting this allowed me to install - is this replicated in the 2000/XP version?

...I just installed thru control panel and updated my video adapter. I thought it was just a problem unique to me.
Thanks for the catch there!

Does it stop the control panel install method or not?
What does this say about WHQL? The only things in the NVAML2.INF are the TNT, And the Aladdin TNT2 I thought the old TNT dropped out of latest Detonator driver support LONG ago - looks like it's back. Looking at the 3DMark 2001 demo, UNBELIEVEABLE IQ for my little Graphicsblaster MX - the trees and the plants below are actually swaying - all I ever remember before was virtually stop-frame at that point - I must do a full performance run!

How do I get the install to work if it is looking for two incorrect .inf files?

Figured it out myself!
"Sometimes I amaze myself!" ![]() For those not as amazing as I am: Change name and file type to.rar UnRAR and then Edit the .cfg file NVIDS.CFG file refers to NV4_DISP.INF and NV4DISP2.INF Change to this: NVAML.INF and NVAML2.INF

Well I installed the 40.72's and tried them out.
No Big Deal!!! Certainly no 25% increase in speed. 3DMark2001 and Vulpine GLmark scores are about the same (or a little lower) than the 40.71's Not worth D/L'ing unless you are having a problem with your current driver set.

I dont know how do you folks call this bug, but I am still having that anoying tearring like with 40.41 (UT2003 was the worst affected, still is). I tought WHQL's aren't suppose to have thoese bugs ??? I think I'll go back to 30.82. Is there a way to get rid off that bug ??? Or is that only on Ti4200 cards ??? I don't like giving 160$ for image tearrings, that not my idea of "high image quality display"
so any help ???

damn.......
I menaged to fix the bug by dissabling FastWrittes in BIOS, It seems that card alaready has fastwtties enabled in it's own bios so this setting makes bugs. No performance decrease.
