76.10 is out

it seems that there is not much speed increase over the 75.90 but the temp bug is gone (as people say)

or a little more compressed:

//edit:

so far it has been appearing in the 71.8x series and higher. If you use the 71.2x series, there is no temp bug, but the water in HL2 is yellow. so take your choice driver bugs and live with it :-\.

There is nothing wrong with the zeropoint drivers. These 76.10's arent ZP drivers.

System Specs

These are the 3rd 7X.XX series drivers I have used for my SLI rig (now I have the thing going finally) and I am experiencing a weird problem.

The drivers install properly and with no issues, and I am able to adjust the frequencies with no problems (unlike the 71.84 drivers which give me 'the test failed at the set frequency, reduce your timings', even when I underclock the 2d) but, and I know it's only synthetic but 3dmark05 is the staple test for a system these days and that's what I'm having trouble with (same at 71.84's and another 7x.xx series I tried). When I start 3dmark05 the first 2 game demos, Return to Proxycon and the Firefly thing run fine but as soon as the 3rd one, the airship, cuts in I get lots of flickering all over the place. The temps aren't a problem, nothing is overclocked and it's not tearing or flashing textures so I am assuming it's a driver error. The game demo 3 must be doing something else to the 6800 Ultra GPU that the first 2 don't.

I haven't seen anyone else with the problem though.

Anyone?

Edit: Specs
AMD64 FX55 / Dual XFX 6800U / Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
Corsair TWINX2048-3200C2 / Thermalright XP-120 / PCP&C 510 SLI
Maxtor DM10 250GB SATA NCQ / NEC 2500A DVDRW

Starfury, try changing the rendering mode and see if that clears it up, use the SLI tool included with the DHzp drivers to choose your mode, AMR2 would be my first reccomendation but as I have no SLI to test with I am not sure....

it's because you have an ultra. 6800GTs are seeing the problem. possibly others, but I have a GT.

I switched to the 71.84 official WHQL drivers and the problem has gone away.

I have had some LCD issues though but that's another problem apparently lots of people have had in the last year or so with large LCD's. Something to do with the EDID...
