Thanks for the offer fobis, i appreciate it, but that isn't the problem. When i had the drivers installed, i could still select 1280x1024 as my desktop res, and that is what i had it set at when trying to run the game, but no luck.

I have since uninstalled the DHZ drivers to make use of the latest nvidia ones. I might give them another try when the new ones come out... we'll see.

I noticed something very strange. I'm not 100% sure it's driver related, but when you use the refresh rate force of the driver and you run 3dmark01se nature you get half the FPS compared to when it's off. When you use rivatuner to force the refresh to 85Hz it's just fine....

I stopped using refresh rate force once I noticed that one. Now later I've moved totally benchmarking just with games and I use that nowadays. I get good benchmarks and haven't tested without it anymore. I quess it doesn't happen in other games. Not sure of the other benchmarks..

mi been using these drivers for a bit now.. seem pretty good. but i wanted to test some others aswell..
but.. i have no idea how to uninstall them.. i cant find it in control pannel or start menu, in the installed folder.. anywhere.

sorry my bad.. found it. thought that add/remove option was for my motherboard drivers.

if you cant find them under zeropoint, try nvidia driver. this will work as default, then of course use that excellent prog available at this site - dc pro.
bty i ssume you know how to uninstall but just in case use start/set prog access & defaults/changeremove progs. look for zweropoint, if not there go down to nv driver. also, if both are there-uninstall both.

every nv release 'supports' previous gpus but the sad fact is that actual support for a previous generation usually only goes 1 -2 releases deep into next set. which means your optimal set is probably late 5xxx early 6xxx.
unless you actually sse tangible benefits from future releases i would strongly consider staying with what you have(very excellent set bty) or even going back & taking a look at zp 6766 release.
otherwise jusy keep trying different releases until you stop seeing any benefit.

Just copy the file from program files\dhzero(or zeropoint)... to game right game directory. Like with doom3 to doom3\base

Cannot recall paths with 100% facts because I'm at work, but you should find it easily.

That error message just means installer didn't find doom3 on your current windows install, which is easily happening if you have reinstalled your windows after doom3 installation.

BUT i have one Q do these drives but my brand new video card in any danger
i freked out after reding the "use on your own risk" thing what i mean well
decraise its life span make it over heat or anything like that ??

Well, they looking nice, but still it is NOT possible to remove the unwanted resolutions (like 800x480

) and the fog of thing, well, errr....

At least I could say that all the GFX quirks are probably the BF2 1.00fault. After turning off the dynamic light and dynamic shadows I did not see any quirks anymore!
