41.09 - Loss of AGP texture acceleration

When moving from 41.03 to 41.09 I get AGP texture acceleration disabled in the display option of direct X diagnostics. I have checked the registry and have the enablealiagp 010000 key in the registry.

If I restore to 41.03 it comes back. Any one have the same or know why.

Thanks

Andy

Not noticed this under Win98SE/DX8.1 - which version if DirectX do you have?

WinXP service pack 1 and direct X8.1. May be the best option is to stick with 41.03 for now as it is stable. Interestingly enough my other PC with a GF2 MX card also with XP installs 41.09 OK.

Question.

Does it affect performance with AGP text disabled?

I have WinXP SP1 + DX8.2 and I have the AGP texture acceleration enabled. It is a clean install of the 41.09 Detonators so there might have been a problem with your install over the previous version.

I wonder if it will affect performance if using the various anisotropic filtering options. Fehmi are you using a GF3Ti200 card? So far the 41.03 drivers seem to be the best I have used so far, are the 41.09 significantly faster?

The performance is about the same on my computer, (Leadtek Ti 4200 128 MB). I always prefer using the latest drivers, whether they are giving me the best scores or not. Also, I think you installed the "leaked" 41.09 detonators. Why dont you try the official ones from nVidia.com? The size is double and they might have fixed this specific error.
