Geforce2 video card and HP A4330A 17" monitor problems.

Hy.

I found a really nasty problem.
I finally managed to buy a 17" monitor (it's refurbished, but who cares ?). The problem is that the monitor works very well with my old S3Trio64V+ video card (wich sucks as it's waaay to old). With the Geforce2 MX400 64VRam the screen goes black for about 3-5 minutes than comes back to normal. What the heck is wrong ?

I have tryed Win XP and Win '98Se and both do the sam thing. Also, after about 1-1.5 hours of working, the monitor stops doig that bad thing (i mean it works corectly, without darkening again).

Anybody got any clue to what's wrong, and maby how to "repair" it ?

P.S. Seems that under Linux i don't get the problem.

Sure.

Go check that other thread you posted that's identical to this one. I'm gonna be closing this one to save confusion...double-posting is sort of a "no-no".
