Were your other posts real posts or just spammage? If they were spam, they might have been deleted. All mods are on high-spam watch and have been given "permission to delete" as there has been a bit of an increase in the spammage with the 10 post minimum contest.

But nothing major, don't worry. The contests are working out pretty good, we just don't want the spam to get out of hand. We're not really picky about content, but a post has GOT to have SOME content.

May I suggest building up your posts in the FlameZone? All ya got to do is go there and either bitch about this policy or bitch about me and you should have your post count up in no time. (One of the mods in the flamezone is really into a good flamefest now & again. )

Mad, are you dumb? They can be optimized or whatever for direct x9 BUT YOU HAVE NO GAMES OR SOFTWARE THAT RUN DX9. So there is little point to downloading dx9

Yes i understand that... But... dx9 does have many improvments on the norm dx8 operations. so having dx9 and no dx9 enabled drivers..... your gimping on not only have a program that doesnt support it... but also drivers that dont...


so at this point in the picture I have one quarter of the puzzle.... if I had some drivers to support dx9.... i would have half of it.... (the other half being the software.)

things would run smoother....

and for the future, watch the inflection in which you type...

I was reading about dual monitor setups (because I have one now) , and I read that the 41.09's are already optimized for dx9. I have dx9rc2 installed and it seems to like the 41.09's just fine. I think I can really see small differences in games.

If the new drivers aren't out yet, I doubt you will "find" them somewhere. I could be wrong, but they havn't been released have they?

No, no new drivers have been released and there ain't no sign of the "impending" release that got everyone all hot-n-bothered the other day. But there are definately some newer drivers in existance than the 41.09 set, game developers get the newest driver sets first under NDAs so they can work out the kinks in their games with 'em. That's where the majority of the leaks come from. Someone either annonomously (& quite kindly!) gives a copy to someone, who gives it to someone else, who gives it to someone who posts it somewhere, then the big sites pick up on it and mirrors start springing up; and a leak is born.

The other way is that sometimes you really do just happen across a new set on some FTP servers sometimes. Sometimes OEMs just put them up early, or screw-up; sometimes they just put them up unprotected for developers thinking that no one will notice it. It's called, "getting lucky"....but the results are the same.

Right now I'm feeling lucky and like we're all loooooong overdue in the way of something new & exciting in the driver department....I'm not giving up the hunt yet!

Long overdue? The 41.09 came out 2 weeks ago? I guys need drivers that often? Damn. I personally could live with my 41.09 for a while. I don't give a shit about new drivers that slightly increase from the last ones, and sometimes don't increase. Just update everyother month, in my opinion.

i also go by the date of files to determin if they are old or new....its just gettin me more excited...i hope they fix the missing cursor in project igi...games playable but its a challenge working out where the cursor is. i also wonder where dx9 final is? supposed to be out 3 days ago.
