GF5200 drivers

Hi

I`ve got GF5200fx and i wannt play in HL2 which drivers i must chose for my graphic card??

I always use the newest drivers, beta or not, just go to Nvidia.com and download them...77.72

Make sure you uninstall your old drivers first then use a program called driver cleaner. Found on this site. Before you install your drivers...also make sure you fallow DC instructions

i used DC and when i wannt play in hl2 or cs:s is says that i must install directx but i have allready instaled 9.0c

don't worry about it. games that require any version of DX, will always ask you if you want to install it or not. you usually have the option to skip it. if you don't have the option to skip, it will say something like "DX is already installed" or something similar.

Have you want to windows update and gotten all your regular and optonal updates?
(you don't have to have .net yet)

Uninstall the drivers, downloat and use driver cleaner do a clean,
(apply the nvidia fix if needed) http://www.drivercleaner.net/
reboot then reinsatll the latest officail drivers

The problem you're talking about is actually an error in the 77.72 nVIDIA drivers. Some get that error, some not. I did on my other rig. Try updating Windows like Neon told you to (I didn't had to update anything and I got the error), but if that doesn't help pick up the 76.44 driver from nVIDIA or the DHZP 76.44 if you're in the mood for a modded driver.
