DHzer0point 0.8182 Released
The DHzer0point 0.81.82 Drivers have been released, we've changed the installer around and added some goodies for your computing pleasure....
Whats New - New Nvidia Control Panel Shortcut, seems Nvidia has given us a new Control Panel to use, based on .Net and similiar to the ATI CCC, we've decided you should be able to play with it too ![]() After installing the drivers choose no to reboot now to install the new Control Panel Shortcut then reboot manually Changed Mipmpas to Trilinear for increased IQ LOD Bias allowed so games can set LOD lower if they wish Shadow bug fixed PCI Latency Tool removed as it was redundant with this release ![]() Fixed uninstall issues, when uninstalling the drivers there were pieces of the driver being left behind this has been resolved, we do recommend you use drivercleaner pro when uninstalling any driver. Known Issues Some users have reported problems with ground textures in Dungeons and Dragons Some users with 7800GTX's have reported severe lag, we have been unable to track this down but are working on it, if you have this problem please post in the nvidia drivers forum your video card, motherboard, version of windows home/pro, Ram and if your video card is PCI/e or AGP, we will have a dedicated thread for this, also let us know if the patch fixes or makes it worse Download Here

the New CP is definitely Beta/Alpha but it gives you guys a chance to play with it and see it, it may not work completely correctly for all settings, otherwise everything should stick....
I'm gonna be working for about two days straight so pj will cover it from here

I'd like to report a possible major flaw with this set; I'm not exactly sure if it's the driver itself or the optimization, but a couple of maps in Counter-Strike Source - de_dust2, for example - are extremely choppy and laggy. I was experiencing severe sound distortion and insanely long pauses and skips. I just finished reinstalling the XG 81.82s and the problem seems to have vanished. My system specifications are in my signature, by the way.

sound distortion...hmmm
I'll see if we can reproduce that, but haven't had that issue com up yet. I'll get back to you ASAP, but as I don't have CSS, i'll hafta get a beta tester to check it |

Somefeedback from me. I guess most of the things I have trouble with at present are down to the 'betaness' of the driver but here goes.
The new Nvidia control panel is totally blank for me and anything i choose gives the message "help file not found". When enabling the SLI after the reboot for installing the driver, I get the error mesage saying that the SLI bridge is not installed (which it is) but then it seems to enable the SLI no problems at all anyway. However the second card is missing in the Temperature Control Panel tab until after a further reboot. 2D IQ seems to be improved slightly over previous drivers (was using 78.05), haven't had chance to try 3d games yet as I loaded them last thing last night. Are the game optimisations part of the install still? also it seems to me to be more beneficial to remove the installation source files after the driver is installed, so as to save space. We all downloaded the dhzp exe anyway didn't we? Looks like the 'official' beta is now out so I'll probably switch to them unless there's something specific you DHZP team would like me to have a look at on my SLI system before I do so?

do you have the latest .NET framework installed? (1.1 Service Pack 1, i believe) starfury, can you see if it's the new CP that's busted, or if it's the drivers? try enabling the SLI and whatnot in the old CP |

I do indeed. I tend to update using Autopatcher XP since it provides some nice tweaks and goodies and .NET 1.1 SP1 is included.
Edit: I'll check to make sure when I get home from work tonight.

Cool. Haven't read the new rel. notes yet.
Is there anything SLI related I can check for you before removing the zp's?

Other than that, the drivers are great on my ASUS 7800gtx. Tried out COD2 and FEAR demos as well as DOOM 3.

FEAR and DOOM 3 are faster but DOD:S is slower versus the beta nvidia 78.05 drivers. I guess speed is not the point, but DOD:S drops half the frames over the 78.05's. I tried both with the HL2 optimizations and without. This is on a 6800GT with DOD:S running at 1280 by 1024 at 2 times AA and 4x AF. However, the 78.05's have graphical anomolies every once in a while, like strange bump mapping and lighting effects
