OK, for those fo you having trouble with unisntalling the DHzer0point sets, where you unisntall, and on next boot it still recognizes the card as DHzer0point XXXX, this is for you.
Uninstall your video drivers, and reboot. When it pops up and asks you to isntall VGA Adapter drivers, click next (if it doesn't ask, go to the device manager and update VGA Adapter drivers). Tell it not to search the net, and to automatically search fro them. Now, it should pull up on or more entries for DHzer0point cards/drivers. Scroll over to the right, and they should be in the C:\Windows\inf directory and be labelled as various oem.inf files. Copy down the numbers listed(example: oem5.inf, oem7.inf, oem29.inf), cancel driver isntallation, and open up the C:/Windows/inf directory. Delete the files you just copied down. That should fix it, and the bug in the INF causing it to cache like that is no longer in the sets, starting with the 81.84, and will not return from here on out. We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for sticking with it! ---PJ Last edited by pr0digal jenius; Oct 14, 2005 at 01:03 AM. |

Hi, I have had this problm for quite some time with my 7800gtx ko edition. I have tried what you mentioned but when it searches it gives me this message "the file nv4_mini.sys on nvidia windows2000/xp driver library insallation disk 1 is needed." it also mentions something about
c:\program files\dhzer0point nvidia display drivers 0.7803 which I cannot seem to find. I realize this problem was not intentional but something has to be done. I have no idea what this driver library installation disk is, and i cannot get past it to find what other dhzer0point files are on my machine. If you could explain more clearly how to uninstall this or something that would be great. This has caused me much stress, as I have been experiancing blue screens due do device drivers not working properly. Please figure out a way to help me, thank you. |

ok, go to C:\Windows\inf
there will be a lot of oemxxx files. Open each of the oem.inf files. Any that are Dhzer0point, you can delete along with the corresponding files(.dll I believe) with the same oemxxx name. Hope that helps, and sorry for the delayed response |
