??? Detonator version w Clock freq. Adjustments

Does anyone know which older detonator version(s) had built in overclocking adjustments? I am currently using the 40.72 series on my Hercules GeForce 3 Ti 500. Right under the 'overlay controls' tab in my propeties window is a "clock frequencies' tab that allows adjustments of both the core and the memory, and a check to apply the settings at start up if i want.

I know the 40.72 drivers do NOT have that clock frequency tab normally so i figure it must be a carry over from a prior installation. Does anyone know which version it may have come from?

None come with it to my knowledge.... go download rivatuner....loads of overclocking features....OR go to a search engine and type in "coolbits.reg" it's only a couple kilobytes. run it and it allowa clock frequency adjustments in the drivers.

Damn you DriveEuro - I started typing, got suspicious, refreshed and you had posted! Anyway, I finished my spiel elsewhere... and let me just say that Coolbits is the way to go. There is a built in overclocking tab inside the advanced properties of the nVidia drivers (all of them to my knowledge, going back the the original Detonators), and they are merely hidden - you need to rin the Coolbits.reg registry hack in order to make it visible - and make sure you turn off any anti-virus software while doing this (but SCAN THE FILE FIRST!)... if it is a virus, the scan will catch it, but the virus checker may decide that editing the registry is virus-like behavior and interfere with your overclocking

Thanks guys... i'll try the coolbits registry hack. I know i've never run that before so i'm still not sure how those advances features are showing up in my driver options but oh well.. . Maybe they were a carry over from the original Hercules drivers included with the card.

i did once get a set of drivers for my old geforce3 card from Inno3d and they did have the collbits bit already unlocked, they were marked as Beta drivers on the site, but they were just whql's with the clock frequency settings.. (i think they were 2x.xx era)
